Summary: LuLu recounts material she feels was passed to her through her maternal ancestors: an ancient Chinese culture of body-based cultivation, where people had to remember their own potential before seeking a small training institution. The conversation moves through digestive fire, the solar plexus, food, individuality in service to community, and learning body-technology directly from animals.

Ancestral Transmission

LuLu: This interview is brought to you by an enormous quantity of food.

Today we are talking about some interesting information that was passed to me by some of my ancestors on my mother’s side.

One of these particular ancestors came to me when we were in Thailand a few months ago and offered me something that he was calling—was the same principle as spiritual gifts that were protected in bloodlines.

And what was communicated to me over the last couple days was that in ancient China—it felt like a very long time ago, kind of during the time of some of the earliest dynasties, so a really long time ago—that mystery schools, what we would now call mystery schools, were quite common.

And he specifically said that it was not the case that certain representatives or teachers from these mystery schools would go out into the world and seek out young prodigies. That’s not how it worked.

He said that the children themselves—or the adults, it didn’t matter how old they were—would have to remember from within themselves this potential of the human body.

And from this remembering, and through this act of trusting that remembering, they would go and seek out a container to cultivate their spiritual gifts and their physical gifts.

It’s like uniting the physical and spiritual gifts through the body.

Max: By container, you’re referencing an opportunity, or an experience, or a hosted space—people, institution, etcetera?

LuLu: An institution. A very small institution where there would be body masters and teachers.

One phrase that he said is that, at that time, among these groups of people who initiated these types of institutions, the idea was very simple. It’s not even like they were seeking some profound awakened state that was outside of this dimension.

They said that to not do this thing—to not fully cultivate your spiritual gifts inside of your body and be a living expression of them—was the same disappointment, or loss of opportunity, of, like, a tree never making it to its full expression and never fruiting and flowering.

The Default Human Expression

Max: So it’s like design, essentially. It’s not becoming your genetic design.

Rather than this idea that this is the summit of human experience, this is the default of human experience.

To fall short of it, as one of my mentors says, is to be a mistake.

LuLu: Yeah. To, like, live in a deep forgetfulness and a deep ignorance of the thing that you want.

Max: Watching Tel Aviv John. No big strong body-mind. Only sad.

Solar Plexus and Digestive Fire

LuLu: They were talking about—there was, like, this big emphasis on solar plexus, actually, and on cultivating the power of the solar plexus, because they called it kind of the center of the individual.

Although you could say the heart space is a center and is a central gear of the body, the solar plexus is geometrically kind of the center of the body, and they said it governs the individual.

Max: That’s where you read from, right? And some digestion.

LuLu: Yeah. So they had all of these—this was the focus on food—is that the stomach is also part of stomach and diaphragm and liver, gallbladder—

Max: My part of that.

LuLu: All a part of this. And also the adrenals and kidneys.

Max: Also the adrenals and the kidneys.

LuLu: They had all this fascination around food and how food affects, obviously, the stomach, and how to get the stomach to fire. They were calling it digestive fire—how to have the digestive fire be more responsive and more powerful.

And they were saying that really cooked food—like overcooked food, long-cooked food—is food that is partially digested. And because it’s partially digested, the stomach will not fire. Over time, the stomach will stop firing as high and as potent a digestive fire.

And so it causes the power of the stomach, part of this solar plexus region, to atrophy over time.

And it basically is the same idea as, like, breathing really shallow. The power of the solar plexus begins to decay. And so then the technology of the solar plexus also begins to decay.

So the person has, like, less willpower, less of a defined sense of being, less—I don’t want to say aggression—but, like, less strength and courage and potency and will. Less sense of individuality.

They specifically said that the individual—individualism—is meant to serve community. Individualism isn’t meant to exist simply on its own for the sake of being, like, an interesting light show to have people look at it.

Uniqueness is meant to be in service to the collective.

Max: Pretty flowers.

The Overfed Solar Plexus

LuLu: Would you like to get your shit together, Max?

Max: Max is very full right now. He had a lot of dhal, a lot of coconut sambal, a massive quantity of rice, massive eggs, millet porridge, organ, and some breadfruit—some breadfruit curry.

LuLu: So much.

Max: Yeah, like, shut off my solar plexus probably. It’s probably what I’m experiencing. I’m just a dullard.

LuLu: But they said that rich people, essentially, started to eat very cooked and complex foods, and people began to, over time—and these foods were encouraged.

I think that in those original days, rich meant people that were lacking probably in purpose, and therefore over-accumulated. It’s very hard to over-accumulate when you have purpose.

Max: True.

LuLu: So when we’re referencing rich here, we’re particularly meaning the greedy, a.k.a. those that are excessive in one dimension, then wanted excessiveness in another dimension because they were lacking profundity, profoundness.

Max: Similar to me now, as I’m making jokes to try to entertain myself selfishly because, until I just fired up my gallbladder a second ago, I was just like, I’m near dead in the water.

You know, you’re just a floating log.

Tell me more about the Chinese people.

Animal Companions as Teachers

LuLu: But yeah, these ancestors were showing me very specifically—partially because I was asking directed questions of this nature—they were showing me that they ate, like, very, very lightly cooked things: sprouted grains and lightly cooked vegetables, or raw vegetables, fruit, seared meats—like something that was seared on the outside but still wasn’t, like, super cooked on the inside.

And all of these things allowed the digestive fire to become more intense, more combustive.

They also had this interesting thing in these—this kind of institution that I’m calling a mystery school, but to them they didn’t really consider it to be a mystery school.

They said that, or they were showing me, that it was quite common for each training and each member to have an animal companion, which I found to be really fascinating.

I’ve never—I don’t think I’ve read about this anywhere, actually. I don’t think.

But that this group of individuals that were cultivating their body technology, they would essentially tune into what the pinnacle of their technology—their body technology—could be, and what that archetype was. And then they would seek out an animal that embodied that, so that they could study that animal very closely and that the animal could be their teacher.

So they really encompassed this understanding of the intelligence in the natural world, and that the instinct and the wisdom contained in this animal had the ability to teach.

Max: So we’re covering a lot of stuff here. Let’s wrap up this particular recording, and then we’ll start the next recording off.

Summary: Max and LuLu return to the idea of ancient Asian body-cultivation schools: how a person’s own inner conviction was the entrance test, why siddhis were treated as the fruit of developed human faculties, and how an animal companion could become a living teacher through shared nervous-system life.

Finding the School

Max: So let’s talk about these mystery schools. We’ve talked about a lot of things so far. We’re going to kind of rewind.

In China, you were talking to a Chinese ancestor. How far back is ancient? Give me something that I can use as a placemarker. Do they have metal? Do they have clay?

LuLu: They have clay. They seem to have metal also. They have kind of cloth shoes, like very thin leather shoes.

Max: And they’re speaking to you through English Chinese?

LuLu: They’re speaking to me through imagery, mostly—like imagery and emotion. Not so much through words.

Max: And do they look like the Chinese people of today?

LuLu: So in these institutions, if you want to call it that—and it wasn’t super highly organized in that way—there seemed to be people from a lot of different parts of Asia.

They said that these types of institutions were all throughout China, Mongolia, even some parts of Russia, Japan, the Southeast.

Max: And you’re saying you would seek these things out through a remembrance of a previous life of some sort, or an activation of what was within you. And then, as a result of that activation, your internal being and your sufficient chi, or prana, would become enough, and you would find a school—or the school would find you.

LuLu: Something like this, yeah. Like, a person would notice that they have this greater potential within themselves, and their desire to see it blossom would be so strong that essentially they would leave home and journey out into the world and radar some kind of teacher, something that could help them cultivate this blossoming.

And so, in a way, that was the interview or the test. That’s why these schools wouldn’t go out and seek individuals. Because if you went and sought a prodigy of some kind, there’s no way of knowing if that prodigy has the grit, the stamina, the belief in this thing, to be able to train and make it.

But it’s somebody who is so fucking convinced by this potential, and they’re willing to leave everything that they have in life to pursue a sense that they have—that is the type of person that is willing to dedicate themselves to this cultivating of the fullness of their expression.

The Calling Is Still Here

Max: This can seem somewhat foreign, but it’s actually still common today. These are athletes. These are artists. These are actresses and actors who do that style of thing, where they feel this calling from themselves and they go out and pursue a place.

Even in an academic, you could say.

Unfortunately, it’s less based on what you feel nowadays and much more based on accreditation and what’s going to get you the most amount of money or something. But it’s not an uncommon philosophy.

I myself did this.

LuLu: Okay.

Max: I saw a teacher that would clean my bloodline of things in the Philippines. That happened.

Siddhis as the Fruit of the Body

Max: So, we’re in ancient China and Asia: mystery schools, initiations, and training.

Siddhis—we talked a bit about siddhis—so, spiritual powers, which we may just mention and just say more that those are summits of the body performing at a peak, let’s say, that then fruits an ability—a super ability, you can call it—which is really just a peak of that ability.

So, the siddhi of knowing the truth of something when you look at it, or knowing past lives, is: you know your own life first. You’ve mapped your own life, et cetera, enough that then you can know other people just by looking at them.

And the super senses, like super feeling and taste and such, you can call them—or they’re developing that taste, I call it.

A couple of questions is: why do you think they’re telling you this? Why do they want you to know?

LuLu: I think just because they’re some of my ancestors, and they want—

And so, on one hand, I have the remembering of these things in my body. And they’re seeing, or they’re feeling, that this moment in time-space that we’re in is a moment that would have these pieces of information be really valuable.

It’s interesting because there were several moments in the last couple days where I could feel that, being at this level of embodiment, their consciousness is moving in and out of different dimensions all the time.

So they’re sharing this information with me. They’re sharing what they feel to be necessary, or what is being asked of them, with other individuals and different dimensions as well. And that’s kind of just part of the way that they live life.

And we all do this. Like, you and I do this. There are certain moments where we probably sense someone in some other timeline who needs to access something that we have available in us, and so we’ll play out a thought or an understanding and a principle and some piece of wisdom and share it.

And we’ll just kind of open our bodies and allow another person to have access to it.

Animal Companions

Max: So let’s talk more about these familiars, as I’ve been introduced to them now—an animal companion that helps guide you.

And a good friend, Ishael, who had precisely this, who was a dog—a very large Siberian husky—and we lived in the desert. And this dog was clearly, like, you just looked at him and you just knew. You were looking at his eyes and you could feel it, but you just looked at it.

He was here to teach this kid. Like, you just knew. Like he knew another data set.

LuLu: Yeah. The ancestors that have been talking to me, they’re very focused, at least with me, on a few different things, on a few different subjects.

One of them being the technology of the solar plexus region and the importance of its technology.

Max: Because that’s what you’re working on.

LuLu: Potentially.

They’re also saying, because it governs the individual, they’re also very attuned to this idea of the nervous system—about making the nervous system very plastic and very malleable.

And they’ve talked about how you increase the malleability of the nervous system and allow it to be soft and imprintable, and allow it to let go of old codes, by making the body very soft.

So if you make the body soft, the nervous system will be soft.

And so this thing with the animals was interesting because they were telling me that a person who had an animal companion like this, they would choose this animal companion based on what they felt like the archetype, in its ultimate form, for this person was.

And then they would eat and sleep and train and live with this animal.

And so ultimately, the nervous systems of yourself and the animal would become very blended.

A lot of us who have had very close animal companions have had this experience where it’s like your nervous systems become so unified. Like, you know when they’re hungry. You know when they wake up. Things like this.

And so because their nervous system would become so interwoven, the abilities that these animals would have due to certain conditions—yes, like different body mechanics that they had, but also due to the nervous systems that they had—this teaching of the animal’s abilities would be imparted to the person because of this shared nervous system over time.
