**Summary:** LuLu shares a vision of ancient Chinese body-training in which every act—cooking, combat, speech, movement—cultivates a specific human technology. Max and LuLu reject the idea that mastery comes from withdrawing from life: the cave master’s power, they argue, was earned through *total intimacy* with life first.

**Every Act Trains a System**

**Max:** Round three. Ready? Five.

**LuLu:** Another thing that was conveyed to me by one of these ancestors, who seemed to be one of the teachers, one of the masters, at what we’re calling this type of mystery school in ancient China, was: he said that something that they knew and had a great understanding of was that everything that they did in life was the thing that was cultivating a technology that the body had.

And so they had very specific activities that they did to train.

**Max:** Such as?

**LuLu:** So they were saying that preparing food in a really artful and organized and creative, beautiful way trained sacral.

They said that then the sacral, when it’s cultivated in a really powerful way, had the ability to organize and *summon* in life in a beautiful and artful way.

They said that the purpose of combat training was to cultivate the **solar plexus.**

And he said that the idea was: if you train so well and if you learn combat so skillfully, the idea wasn’t that someday then you can go into battle and be an amazing warrior. That’s one potential, if that’s what happens.

***But the idea was that you would become such a powerful and skilled fighter that your solar plexus would become so powerful that the enemy would never come***. That your sense of the radiance—the potency of the radiance—was so much.

**Max**: And we can feel this. I know, as I grew up in a violent place, if you would go near a home where someone is violent, like, you knew. Like, you just knew. Like, it was just one of those deals.

Or you’d go near somebody. You could feel these things. Like, we kind of overlook it, or it’s become so casual, but you can feel when someone’s friendly, or when someone is aggressive, or someone’s defensive, or et cetera. Or someone who’s slutty, I guess, or promiscuous. Like, you can feel that with your eyes closed.

**Lulu:** Right.

**LuLu:** Yeah. So it was about making these systems in the body so loud that you didn’t—

**Max:** Because a person whose solar plexus is so powerful, any neighboring tribe or any enemy—

**Lulu**: I think that green tea is rotten, by the way. It’s very fermented.

**Max :** Don’t tell me how to live my life.

**Lulu:** It’s that the enemy, quote-unquote, would feel the resilience and magnitude of that technology of that person’s solar plexus, and they wouldn’t even dare to approach the castle, if you will.

**The Voice Before Words**

**LuLu:** And they said the same with the throat chakra: that they would cultivate their throat chakra to the point that it was so powerful that you could communicate and instruct **without even ever speaking.**

So this was the purpose of engaging deeply with life: to create this foundation and this precision inside of the body.

**Max:** But you get more leverage. The same as any video game. You gain a skill and then you can apply that skill to a harder task.

**LuLu:** Right, exactly. It’s the whole point.

**Max:** The verse is like, “Oh, I have a skill.” No, that’s it. Like, life continues to get harder the better you get.

This is a common misconception: life gets easy. You get better, and you can choose to continue to do the same thing, which then makes life easy. You can continue to do hard things, which makes life hard still—continuously hard. It’s up to you.

And so these beings of ancient are still developing themselves in other realms and in other ways, and they’re still propagating their teachings and learnings as they did then. They’re doing it now and developing themselves.

I don’t think the game goes on. I don’t think there’s this other place that we get to, some ultimate place. And if there is, maybe I’m far from it, let’s just say.

But the ladder is so vast that the better thing is just to focus on climbing the ladder and being good at climbing the ladder and developing oneself in a **multidimensional facet.**

**LuLu:** Yeah, it’s like, if there is, it’s because you created it.

You know, like, if there is this—what we would call this totally other dimension where life and things play out in a very different way—it’s because you participated so deeply with life that reality changed around you.

**Max:** Right. Right.

And for some people, life’s not that way. It’s very heralded right now that it’s like, “Live life easily.” Sure. Live life easily, man.

Just fucking, you know, sprout a flower and then lay down on the ground and then decompose, and life was simple and easy.

You know, if you’re a plant, just shoot up and then lay over and just rot. No problem.

Or you can shoot up and you can **keep reaching, keep reaching, keep reaching, keep reaching.**

And is it like, “Oh, well, there’s somewhere to get to?” It’s not that there’s anywhere to get to. There’s also nowhere to get to. There’s life, and life is happening. And it’s your choice.

And the experience of growth vastly exceeds the experience of non-growth. Like, for anyone who doesn’t, in my opinion, know this or would contest this, is someone who doesn’t grow fast.

Like, the feeling of fast growth and of excitement and of thrill and being *full on* is so much greater of an experience than not.

And people go, “Well, the Buddhas say, don’t become anything.” It’s like, they’ve developed themselves so much that when they sit still, it’s overwhelming. Like, their experience is overwhelming inside.

Lydia and I have this, that sometimes, like, we just—you just have to sit down because it’s so overwhelming to participate in life. There’s just so much stuff.

It’s no different than why we’re doing these recordings, because there’s so much within us now that it’s becoming wasteful for it not to have an export.

Like, there’s so much within that if it doesn’t get exported, like, it’s actually a loss.

You know, we’re teaching now not because it’s, like, an ego motive. It’s like, there’s just so much, and we realize that in order to keep at the rate that we’re going at, **you have to teach. You have to share. You have to expound.**

**The Cave Was Earned Through Participation**

**LuLu:** It’s part of what you’re saying. It’s, like, very, very close to something that was really being communicated to me in a big way the last couple days.

This is the big misunderstanding about people who sense or have seen or instituted some of these masters that, like, sit in a cave and summon life around them.

This ancestor was describing to me very clearly that the way somebody like that got to that point, where they could create and collapse worlds around them while sitting in stillness in a cave, was because they had trained at such an intimate level with life.

Like, their level of intimacy and doing and participating with life was so intense that it created that ability inside of them.

And then from that point, then you get to choose. Then you can create life and make things happen while sitting in a cave, or you can do it while being out in the world and participating in a city or in a village or out in nature—whatever you want to do.

But you get to that point **not by retracting from life.** You get to that point by deep, deep, deep involvement.

Every cell in your body fully aware and fully participating with life around you.

Training so fucking hard that it turns on your solar plexus to, like, fucking 100x.

You know, cooking so meticulously and so beautifully that it turns on your sacral to 100x.

You know, moving with so much strength and courage and directiveness that your root turns on in this way.

Like, all of these different things that turn on these different systems in the body—it’s not a retracting from life. It’s a **deep fucking intimacy.**

**Max:** Intense involvement.

**LuLu:** Intense involvement, exactly.

**Max**: Urgency is what it talks about this morning—that life is urgent. Like, to a tree, it is absolutely paramount to collect sunlight and get it to its roots so its roots can grow.

It doesn’t wait. It’s like, “Ah, tomorrow I’ll do it. I’m going to take the day.” Like, it’s so urgent, it does it at maximum fucking capacity. It takes no breaks.

Now we have the choice as an animal too, and as a conscious animal, to choose not to, which sometimes is useful because sometimes you’re growing in the wrong way or doing the wrong thing or whatever it may be.

And so you need the ability to put brakes on and to stop.

Like, people usually that need stillness meditation usually is because they’re fucking chaotic. They’re destroying themselves, and so stillness is prescribed.

But once you’re not destroying yourself: **be of use. Be of productivity.**

**Lulu**: And it’s this idea of relevance again. It’s people are using meditation as a way to calm down because 90% of the movements they are making in life are completely out of alignment with what their body is and what their codes are—what their purpose are, if you want to call it that.

It’s just, like, irrelevant.
